Portsmouth hosts a significant amount of industry and is a major international transportation hub with its modern port facilities. In order to meet the needs of our customers, Portsmouth Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services provides advanced Heavy Technical Rescue (HTR) services.
Duties
Portsmouth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services' HTR Team has the ability to effectively mitigate:
- Confined Space Incidents
- Heavy or Light Vehicle Extrication
- High Angle Rescues
- Structural Collapse Incidents
- Trench Rescues
Also, as a part of the Tidewater Regional Technical Rescue Team (TRTRT), our team responds to large-scale emergencies throughout the region.
